OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this study was to examine whether there were any differences in the leadership behaviors of males and females.

METHODOLOGY
The study was conducted with the population at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis. Fifteen female and 15 males leaders were asked to complete the Leadership Practices Inventory (Self) and to give the LPI-Observer to their supervisor and one subordinate.

KEY FINDINGS
No significant differences were found on any of the five leadership practices between male and female leaders.
