What Is the Self Empowered™ Workshop?
The four-hour Self Empowered™ workshop is designed to develop leaders at any level using The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® framework. It introduces individuals to the language of leadership through the lens of their own behaviors. This scalable learning experience helps leaders recognize and act on their natural leadership abilities and provides them with definitive actions they can take to grow.
Through this experience, leaders will:

Discover the language of effective leadership through The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership.
Develop Self-Awareness
Cultivate self-awareness to lead effectively and drive positive change.
Support Behavior Change
Foster leadership growth through concrete actions and developmental milestones.
The Self Empowered Workshop Learning Experience
Leaders begin by taking the LPI® Self Empowered assessment. They rate themselves on the frequency with which they exhibit 30 proven leadership behaviors. The resulting report highlights the leader's strengths and where they have room to grow.
The learning culminates in a four-hour facilitator-led, in-person, or virtual training workshop, where the leader’s report comes to life through powerful activities and impactful discussions.
The Self Empowered Workshop Learning Modules
This four-hour learning experience, split into two short modules, is designed for instructor-led facilitation (virtual or in-person). The modules spark rich conversations and “aha!” moments, bringing The Five Practices to life with actionable leadership insights. Participants will leave empowered to see themselves as leaders and start making an impact.
Session 1 (2 hours)
Defining Leadership
Leaders discuss their preexisting ideas and experiences with leadership.
Meet The Five Practices
Leaders are introduced to The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership model.
Model the Way
Leaders will further clarify their values, identify challenges in implementing Model the Way, and develop an action plan to enhance effectiveness.
Inspire a Shared Vision
Leaders are introduced to the practice and explore which aspects of their work they could build a vision of the future around.
Session 2 (2 hours)
Challenge the Process
Leaders watch a series of videos modeling the practice and explore how to enact it in their own lives.
Enable Others to Act
Leaders learn the definition of the practice and brainstorm in small groups concrete examples of putting it into practice.
Encourage the Heart
Leaders explore different ways of encouraging the heart and discuss their preferences.
Committing
Leaders brainstorm the next steps for integrating The Leadership Challenge® into their daily lives.
